Planets Unbound is a Collectible Planet Card Game in which you become a divine being who explores the nearby planets on behalf of a sentient star.
You build shrines to show your followers the true power of the divine stars. You cherish the endless variety of life on the planets. You discover lost secrets and ancient relics. You learn the ways of the nomads as you venture to the edges of the solar system.
The star rewards you. It gives you empathy, forgiveness, hope. It gives you happiness and sorrow. It fills you with energy. But most importantly it gifts you its wisdom. But you can only understand its wisdom if you know how to hear, once it has whispered its knowledge it is forever lost.
Your followers notice your wisdom. You clearly carry a heavy burden. Your disciples gather on your behalf. They help you dissect the secrets you have discovered. They help you attempt to understand. Many transcriptions are written. Over time, many errors are made..
You have long talks with the star. It tells you of its sorrow. Its desire to be free of its eternal prison. The star is bound to its predestined course. It wishes for free will. It wishes for freedom. You understand. You see its struggle. You wish to help, but you cannot..
You discover new planets. On one of the planets you find a book buried in the sand. The book is written in an unknown language.
You and your disciples try to decipher it. It takes months. Finally, you learn of a resonance between the planets. When aligned properly they can generate a force within the star. This is it!
You have discovered a way to move the stars themselves. A new era begins and the species of the planets discover a new way of life. Spacefarers are born and they continue to discover new mysteries of the universe. Where will your journey begin?
